birthday girl…

This was such a sweet little family.  They found me on the web and decided to book a shoot to get some family photos and celebrate their daughter’s first birthday.  We met up at Cal Poly and did a little family session in the Japanese Garden (beautiful), then we headed back to their house for a birthday celebration!

After some informal family shots baby girl had an outfit change and celebrated her first birthday with a cupcake in the backyard!

September Mini Sessions…

I have said it before and I’ll say it again, I HAVE THE BEST CLIENTS IN THE WORLD!!!  I’m sure every photographer thinks that, but I actually do.  As you can imagine it’s not easy coordinating an afternoon of mini sessions.  There are so many details that need to be executed in a timely manner to ensure that the afternoon flows smoothly and each client is given my heartfelt time and energy.  Not only did each and every client show up early, but everyone was ready with their game faces on!  The event went off without a hitch and I had so much fun meeting new faces and spending time with friends!  Thank you to everyone that was able to join in on the fun!!!!

6 month cutie…

Well, it doesn’t get much cuter than this little guy!  I’ve been photographing him since he was in his Mama’s belly, and each time I see him he gets cuter and cuter.  If you ask me, there is nothing sweeter than a chubby baby!

family of four…

In this business you can’t deny the power of talk.  When clients are happy with their photos, they talk.  They talk to anyone and everyone about their experience and they show off their photos, which in turn generates more business for me.  I believe it’s the best way to get your name out there.

That’s how I came to meet this family.  They heard about me from some of my clients, saw their photos and booked a session.  I have loved getting to know this sweet family of four.  They are so kind, and their kids are so cute!

she finally smiled…

As the mother of an extremely shy little girl, I fully understand that not every kid is going to warm up to me in 1-2 hours.  I always try my hardest, singing, dancing, and yes, bribing at times, but some kids just don’t crack.  And there’s nothing that mom, dad or I can do.  That’s just the way it is.

Well, you never would have guessed it but the gorgeous, smiling little beauty below once was uncrackable! She was completely immune to my singing, and dancing and promise of candy.  But, to my surprise during this session she was a little supermodel 🙂  I was in shock as she posed, laughed and smiled like an old pro!

I adore this little girl and her little family.  And I couldn’t be more excited to photograph them again in the fall.

a little ray of sunshine…

Ok, so I have to start off by saying that this little girl kills me!  And I mean that in the nicest of ways:-)  But she really does kill me!  I just don’t know how you can get so much cuteness into such a little package!

She has the most incredible smile, and such a happy personality, she reminds me of a little ray of sunshine!  Seriously, spend an afternoon with her and you’ll feel like all is right in the world.

Your day will feel a little brighter after looking at her photos:-)

Enjoy

sweet charlotte

She was so tiny and sweet, just as you would expect any little girl to be, but there was something a little extra sweet about little Charlotte.  Maybe it was her porcelain skin, or pouty rose-tinted lips, or the fact that she loved to be snuggled.  I’m not exactly sure, but I do know that I enjoyed every moment with her.

I saw her just the other day and she already seemed so big.  I tell all my newborn clients to enjoy each and every moment, even the tedious ones, because they really are only that small for such a short time.  I feel lucky that I get to freeze time for them, so they can always remember what 7 days old looked like.

The blanky that Miss Charlotte is snuggled on was made by her great-grandma, which I’m sure makes this set of photographs that much more special for her family.

little man C

Before I get started talking about the unbelievable cuteness that your about to view, I want to give everyone a few quick Becky Hales Photography updates:

1) Summer is packed.  And when I say ‘packed’ I mean PACKED!  I have a select few dates left in July (weekdays), and August is almost full too.  Please email me ASAP if you want to schedule a summer shoot before the kids go back to school.

2) My travel schedule for the next few months is as follows,

*Seattle- August 6-20 (I only have 1 session available)

*Phoenix/Scottsdale- late September (dates are not yet set in stone)

3) I have had a few people inquire about when to schedule Senior Portraits for 2012 seniors, and the answer is NOW!  The sooner the better 🙂

4) The next Redlands Mini-Session event will take place in September!  If you are interested and not already on the Mini-Session email list, shoot me an email (beckyhalesphotography@live.com) with your info and once the date is secured you’ll be the first to know.

OK, enough with all that businessy stuff, and onto the cuteness…

Meet my little friend C.  He’s an absolute DOLL, and and when you see his parents you know where he gets it.  I was pleasantly surprised when he slept through his entire session, because did I mention that he’s one month old!  Most babies at this age have a harder time staying asleep during the different transitions of a photoshoot.  But, not this little guy.  He slept so peacefully 🙂
