Children, Personal

Cousins

These images are from last summer, but looking at them it seems like a million years ago!

While visiting my family in Seattle, I snapped these images of my daughter and nephew.

They are so little and precious, it’s hard to believe that my girl and nephew were ever this small.

rain, rain, please stay…

It’s nearly five o’clock and my house is silent.  The only sound I hear are raindrops falling slowly from the roof.  I tell you this not because I’m trying to be poetic, but because my house is silent, which only means one thing………my daughter is napping!  Incase you didn’t read that right, yes MY DAUGHTER IS NAPPING!

See, in this household we’ve been battling naps for a few months now.  I can’t tell you how much I miss them, not only that precious time to myself, but my child acts like a TROLL on the evenings she misses her afternoon slumber.  And incase you were wondering, she’s my kid so, yes, I can call her a troll!

So what do I have the pleasure of thanking for this little blessing?…..the rain!  There is nothing more wonderful than curling up in your blanky and dreaming away on a raining afternoon, and it seems that not even my child is immune to it.

Thank you rain!  And please stop by again soon!

preschool…

I made her heart shaped waffles and we sat at the table talking over breakfast.  I sipped my coffee from the mug she painted for me, in honor of her special day.

Today was her first day of preschool.  Her first day as a school girl, and the beginning of a life of summer breaks and christmas vacations.

Even though she shed some tears today, I am BEYOND proud of her.  She has grown into such an amazing, smart little lady, and I couldn’t be more happy that she’s mine!

Good job baby, I love you too much!

flowers and wine…

Happy Friday! It’s hard to believe that the month of June has already arrived.  I feel like time is whizzing by, and all I want to do is freeze it.  My baby girl is getting so big, as is my spring cleaning list, even though it’s almost summer…..shhhh, don’t tell!  Unfortunately I can’t ACTUALLY freeze time like a superhero, but I do have a pretty nifty camera that can.  So, I bust it out to remember all the little things I don’t want to forget.

This week I didn’t want to forget the cutest little flower that was picked for me by the cutest little girl.  She walked to the park with Daddy the other night and insisted on picking the tiniest yellow rose just for me. MELT.MY.HEART.

And, the yummiest bottle of wine, given to me by an extra sweet client.  I really do love my clients, and I really do love them even more when they send me wine 🙂 hehe.  I tell you, I’m pretty easy to please,  but don’t ask my hubby, cause he’d probably disagree!

Happy Weekend!

Welcome!

Welcome to the brand spanking new Becky Hales Photography blog!  After many long hours of hard work, I’m happy to showoff my new site.  Not only is this new blog so much cooler than the old one, but it’s like a billion times easier for me to use! It used to take me hours just to put together one blog post because I had to upload photos individually then edit each photo’s html code to size it just right, but now uploading photos takes just one click!  I can’t even explain how excited I am!!!  Long story short, I plan on using this blog much more often, and actually being able to showcase my work in a time-efficient manner.

So, what better way to start the new blog than with photos of my favorite little muffin.  I held a mini-session event a few weeks ago, and Leah tagged along…I couldn’t deny her the chance to play at the lake, and talk to the cows.  Well, to my total surprise, she was game to take some photos!!!  If you followed my old blog you know how incredible this is.

Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to leave comments, or questions, and please come back often!
