my sweet little *baby* turned 8 yesterday.  she decided to celebrate with a few of her little girlfriends with a pancakes and pajamas party.

we’ve strayed away from big birthday parties the past few years, and let me tell you how liberating it is!  no one is stressed or tired, instead we’re able to focus all of our time and energy on our little birthday babe.  and to be honest, I don’t think they even realize the difference.  they’re just as happy to have pancakes with a few friends and cake with family.  win-win for everyone!

leah is quite the little crafter/party planner and executed nearly this whole party with little assistance from me!  we picked up a few things from the store and some balloons, raided the craft closet and ta-da! the perfect celebration for my little pancake 😉
